This article is to assist schools in the transition from paper based cumulative folders to PowerSchool Attachments. The following steps will be covered, with links to training videos below:

Before going any further, please confirm you meet the pre-requisites for accessing a students PowerSchool Attachments. If you do not meet these requirements please click here to submit a ticket.

Pre-Requisites

  • PowerSchool Account
  • Current role is one of the following:
    • Principal
    • Assistant Principal
    • Clerk
    • Counselors
    • Nurses

Navigating Student Cumulative Folders

Step 1: Search for Student by Student ID. Click Student Profile on the left navigation bar, and find the Attachments option.

Alternatively, you can type "Attachments" the top search bar to access the same page once a selection has been made.

 

Step 2: Student Attachments will open. You will see all categories of the student's cumulative folder.

Note: Below are examples of what files may be found in each category. Use this guide to assist you with locating the file you wish to view.

Viewing Student Cumulative Documents

Note: All student documentation must be downloaded to be viewed.

Step 1: Click the Download button.

Click the download button

Step 2: Click Open File, and the file will open in your browser window.

Click Open File

Step 3: Click Table of Contents, and click the name of the file you wish to view.

Clear Your Downloads Folder

After downloading a student's file, it is recommended that it is deleted from your computer once you are finished viewing the file. This is an additional layer of security to protect confidential information in the event that a computer or network is compromised by a cyber attack. The following steps outline how you can do this: 

Step 1: Click the Folder Icon from your downloads list.

Step 2: Right click the student file you downloaded and select delete
