Blocking Windows Apps in Classwize

In addition to blocking websites, Classwize also allows you to block apps that are downloaded to the student device. This article will walk through how to create rules to block Windows apps.

In addition to blocking websites, Classwize also allows you to block apps that are downloaded to the student device. To do so, follow these steps:

1. In your Classwize course, open the rules menu by selecting the “Rules” button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and hit the blue “+ New Rule” button.

 

 

2. In the “Add New Rule” Menu, search for the name of the app you want to block. Apps in Classwize display with a small windows symbol, and you will see them listed under the “App Controls” header.

 

 

3. Select the app, and click the add rule button. You will then see the rule underneath “App Controls” in your rules menu, and you can turn it on and off as needed.
