Assigning a lead teacher to a Classroom in PowerSchool
Lead teachers are entitled access to Schoology for the classrooms for which they are assigned. This article explains how to assign a lead teacher to a classroom in PowerSchool. Once this classroom assignment is made, access to other resources, e.g., Schoology and iReady, are enabled.
Locate the classroom section in PowerSchool
On the Sections page in PowerSchool (School Management > Courses and Programs > Course Sections)
Find your section by searching the course number. Click the course number > Click the section number of the section you would like to edit.
Assign the lead teacher to the class section
- Locate the Teachers – Section Lead section of the page
- Click Add
- Choose the teachers name from the dropdown list
- Set the start and end date for the assignment (typically this would be the first and last day of school)
- Press submit
Changing the current Lead Teacher
- Click the current lead Teacher name > Choose the new lead teacher name from the drop-down list
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
