A student is a summer exit when:
- The student was enrolled at the end of the 2023-2024 school year
- The student will not or did not attend the 2024-2025 school year
A student can be transferred out when:
- The school as received notification of where student has moved or the school the student is currently attending
- Schools should include exit comments that document the circumstances of the transfer
- Under the circumstances outlined in the Unenrollment and Exclusion Policy
Step 1: Locate the student in PowerSchool
From the PowerSchool Start Page, use the Student Search to locate and select your student.
Step 2: Transfer Out of School
Click Functions on Left Navigation then click the Transfer Out of School option
Step 3: Select Options
- Under Transfer out options, use Summer Exit
- Exit date will be filled in for you
- Transfer date will be filled in for you
- Choose the appropriate exit code
- The SIMS enrollment status (DOE012) will be filled in for you base on the exit code choice above
- Enter a transfer comment that briefly describes the circumstances of the transfer
- Check the acknowledgement for your compliance with the Unenrollment and Exclusion Policy
- If there are absences that will be removed, check the acknowledgement to remove the attendance
Step 4: Submit
Click the submit button once the options have been visually confirmed and are correct.
