Log into your Windows 10 staff laptop.
In the lower left hand corner of your screen, click within the Type here to search box and use "company portal" as your search term.
Within the list of programs that appears, click the Company Portal icon to launch program.
Within Company Portal, use the search term "Milestone" within the Search for apps field to locate the Milestone XProtect Smart Client.
When the search completes, the XProtect Smart Client 2020 R3 application will appear within the search results.
To access the XProtect Smart Client 2020 R3 details page, click the icon.
Within the XProtect Smart Client 2020 R3 application page, click the Install button to begin installing the application onto your SPS device.
The application page will now display Download pending and the application will be installed.
Within a few minutes a Milestone XProtect Smart Client 2020 R3 icon will be created on your desktop.
Navigate to your desktop and double-click the Milestone XProtect Smart Client 2020 R3 program; the Milestone program will now open.
Once the Milestone XProtect Smart Client 2020 R3 launches, it will need to be configured. Please use the following:
After your configuration settings have been input, click the Connect button.
You will now be connected to the camera server.
The camera views at your location will automatically appear for you!
If you need to access more views, click the Show Pane button at the top-left of your Milestone XProtect Smart Client window.
If you require more views, contact Safety and Security for assistance in making your own private views.
Need further help? At the top right-hand side of the Milestone XProtect Smart Client window, you can access help through the Question Mark icon.
Use the Key icon to log out of the Milestone XProtect Smart Client.
