End of Year Graduate Reporting: How to Report Students who earn a Diploma or a Certificate of Attainment

Summary

This document explains how to code a graduate or certificate of attainment student, update the EPP, and run the Graduate Verification Report. The end result is a list of students who have earned a diploma or a certificate of attainment. It is also an assurance that the students will be reported to the state accurately and the district to be represented appropriately.

Body

1.  Select a student in PowerSchool (type name or ID in search box)

2.  Click on 'more' then Support Plan (SSP) (on left navigation)

3.  Click EPP (HS only) (in center of page)

4.  Update Enrollment Status

- 04 – diploma (including a Spfld diploma)

- 10 – certificate of attainment

- 01 -- enrolled 

5.  Update Post Grad Plans for graduates (04)

- Students with any other status should remain 500

6.  Update Graduation Date (date will appear on the transcript)

7.  June Graduates are NOT to be transferred out so they  can be reported as graduates for your school.

8.  Run Grad Verification Report in Data Warehouse

- Click on Data Validation Folder under SPS Reports

- Click on Graduate Verification Report

- Select school

- Select current school year 

- Select No to only include June Graduates from the Summer Graduation/Cert window

- Click the Finish button at bottom left corner

9.  Confirm all students appear on the report

- Create a Service Desk ticket for help with missing students.and explain the pertinent details

- Do not proceed to Step 10 if all students are not listed on the report

10.  Ask Principal to Sign Report and Return in a Service Desk ticket

- Please indicate school name and grad report in the short description
