Moving Student Tests to Submitted in Performance Matters

At the beginning of a new school year, Performance Matters moves all data from the previous year to an archive site. However, if a student answered questions on a test but did not submit, then their data is erased during the rollover. As a result, it is important to move any completed or near-completed tests to submitted at the end of the year to ensure accurate data. This guide walks you on how to do that through the “OLA Student Admin” page in Performance Matters

  1. Log into Performance Matters (remember you can access it through the “Waffle” in Schoology)
  2. From the Performance Matters homepage, navigate to the Tests menu on the top bar and select “OLA Student Admin”:

  1. On the OLA Student Admin page, select a test from the “Test Title” dropdown menu. You should see a list of tests you have access to administer
  2. When you select a test, you will see the different possible statuses for students, and the number of students within that status. The most important statuses here are “In Progress”, which means the student started the test and viewed at least one question, and “Submitted”, which means the student finished the test and hit submit, but that it has not yet been graded:

  1. Click the number underneath “In Progress”, and it will show only the students who have started the assessment but have not yet submitted it:

  1. Go through the list of students and click the check mark next to any who you feel have completed enough of the test for the results to be valid

  1. Once you have selected all the students you want to move from “In Progress” to “Submitted”, go to the drop-down that says “Choose an action”. From that dropdown, select “Move X In Progress student to Submitted”.

  1. Once you have done that, you are all set, and you can select the next test from the drop-down
