How to enter student course requests in Power Scheduler

*All sections must be created in Power Scheduler before beginning this process.  

Step 1: Choose students 

  • In Power Scheduler, click Students under Functions.

  • If you know the specific group of students, use MultiSelect to easily choose them as a group 

  • You may select whole grade levels or choose students within a grade level.  

  • Tip: Find incoming 9th or 6th graders by choosing Next Year Grade Level 9 or Current Year Grade Level 8

                    

 

  • Once you have your students selected, click Functions at the top left. 

Step 2: Add Requests 

  • Click Add Mass Requests from the Functions Menu 

  • Click Associate 

  • Choose one or more courses from the list. 

  • Click Submit 

 

Step 3: Check Requests 

  • To check requests, click Reports under Tools in the left-hand menu. 

  • You can choose Requests by Course, Course Request Tally, or Requests by Student 

 

Step 4: Load Student Requests 

Loading the requests will add the students to the sections. Students will not appear in the sections until you load them 

  • *You will only be able to load a students once you have requested a full schedule for them. Once you have groups of students with the minimum number of courses requests, load often.  

  • Click Load under Processing in the left-hand menu.  

  • Check Validate ONLY to perform a validation of the data before attempting a load 

           After you have performed a validation and corrected any errors, load again without validation.  

  • Click Load Selected Students 

  • Click Execute
