June 2026 Graduate Reporting
The following steps outline the process of reporting students who graduated or earned a Certificate of Attainment (CA) as part of the class of 2026. Students who have completed all requirements are eligible to be reported as graduates in the class of 2026. These steps will ensure the accurate calculation of the District and school graduation and dropout rates with DESE.
June Graduates should NOT be transferred out so they can be reported as graduates for your school.
- If the student is an October or March graduate, transfer the student out from your school BEFORE coding as a graduate through the steps below.
- How to Transfer out of School: Article - Transfer Out of School (Use Exit Code 20 for graduated students)
Helpful Tools for Competency Determination:

-
Stored Search in PowerSchool: Use the Competency Determination stored searches to pull students who have not yet been coded in PowerSchool (No CD Grade 12), who already have the CD area of their graduation eligibility page completed (SPS CD Grade 12), or those who have met the DESE CD in all three content areas (DESE CD Grade 12)
PowerSchool Homepage > Sored Searches > Click ‘Run Search’ to the right of the report you would like to pull.
