Select Add Materials and Newsela in the material type list.
Search for content or select content from Collection. You also can filter content to find what you are looking for.
Select a card to Preview article content and activities.
Select Close to return to the search results.
Select Add Link to Newsela content.
You will know you are successful when you see the title of the article in your Schoology course.
Note: This does not create an assignment in Schoology and Newsela. It’s just reading the article.
To add the Newsela Assignment to the gradebook, select the gear and then edit.
Select Enable Grading and fill in the relevant information and select Save Changes.
Note: You will need to go to Newsela Dashboard to grade the assignment and then copy the grade over to your Schoology gradebook.
Select the Article in your Course.
Select Assign.
Select Add Class and Add Your Class.
Fill in any other relevant information and select Assign.
